Norwegian Mittens

Does the Iowa winter make your hands freeze? Are you tired of commercial mittens and gloves that make your hands turn blue in the cold? Knit a pair of Norwegian mittens, rich with colorful patterns and sure to keep your hands toasty warm. Once you knit a pair, the Norwegian mitten world will be your oyster.
Supplies Needed:
-Two contrasting colors of worsted weight yarn (Casade 220, e.g.)
-two circular needles that will give you a gauge of 6 stitches to the inch with the yarn you choose. (Yes...that is indeed a very tight gauge for that weight yarn! The dense fabric will help keep your hands very warm.)
